new look

Yes I know, I changed the design of my blog yet again. I can't help it. I enjoy designing, and I constantly feel like my style is changing. Speaking of my style changing...let's take a look down memory lane!

This is totally embarrassing...my first photo shoot. My baby's skin and the colors in the pictures look horrible. I was just starting to learn Photoshop, and it is very easy to overdo it when you are a beginner. 

Here are our first family pictures. Which are still our most current family pictures. Yikes! I am totally grounded! I promise new family pictures will come soon...real soon! Anyway, I totally overdid it on the eyes. They look a little freaky. The picture is also way over sharpened.

I soon discovered Photoshop actions. I honestly thought my pictures were finally looking pretty awesome, for a little while at least. Wow, I just don't know what I was thinking. 

 I finally learned how to edit "clean". Ahhhh...so much better! Much more natural looking.

I soon discovered film, purchased a professional film camera, and feel instantly in love! 

I had no idea just how expensive it is to shoot film. And when your hubby is about to attend law school, there isn't room in the budget to buy and develop professional film. I am currently in the process of trying to edit my images so that they resemble the look of film.

It's been a long journey. But I love to look back and see how far I have come. I also love knowing I have so much more to learn. I know my style will continue to evolve, and will probably be a never ending process. And I love that!

P.S. You may have noticed I added the "prices" tab back at the top of my blog. I am hoping to start doing shoots twice a month starting the end of this summer!

slacker

I am a slacker with my blog. Yikes! We have a lot going on right now. We are moving next month. I am trying to pack and organize the house, while trying to keep it clean all at the same time because we have to show our apartment. Plus, I am trying to get ready for our baby...which I am slacking at. Did I mention I am big and fat and I can barely move? It's been an adventure!

I am also slacking at my project life. No surprise there. I hope to get caught up soon.

Anyway, on to the pictures! My brother-in-law and his fiance are getting married in June and I'm so, so excited for them! I was super excited when they asked me if I could take their engagements. Here are some of my favorites...

A few random projects I've been working on:

My mom asked me if I could design a logo for their girl's camp shirts. I love the way it came out. The words will be white printed on a colored shirt. I can't wait to see the final result! It say's "I will stand" in case you couldn't figure it out.

I saw this quote on pinterest and a lady had written it up on her big chalkboard wall. I loved it, and I love chalkboard walls. But I have to admit, I have a little chalkboard board thingy that I never use. I honestly can't write on chalkboards for the life of me. So I decided to make it printable. I'm going to go and blow this puppy up and make a frame for it. That way I can change my chalkboard art in and out without touching chalk. I'll post photos when it's done!

P.S. I'm sorry if what I write makes zero sense and I have a million spelling and grammar errors. I'm dealing with a serious case of pregnancy brain.

IT'S BEEN A WHILE

It's been a while since I last posted some digital scrapbook pages. I love to look on pinterest at scrapbook page layouts to get ideas. My favorite thing to do while scrapbooking is listening to oldies! 

I am terrible at writing in my journal. I pretty much only write in it when something important happens. I like to think of my scrapbooks as journals. My pictures and scrapbook pages have a lot of sentimental value to me.
