Yep, we finally moved out of our basement apartment. And we finally have windows we can look out of! Life is good!

Yes I know, I changed the design of my blog yet again. I can't help it. I enjoy designing, and I constantly feel like my style is changing. Speaking of my style changing...let's take a look down memory lane!

This is totally embarrassing...my first photo shoot. My baby's skin and the colors in the pictures look horrible. I was just starting to learn Photoshop, and it is very easy to overdo it when you are a beginner. 

Here are our first family pictures. Which are still our most current family pictures. Yikes! I am totally grounded! I promise new family pictures will come soon...real soon! Anyway, I totally overdid it on the eyes. They look a little freaky. The picture is also way over sharpened.

I soon discovered Photoshop actions. I honestly thought my pictures were finally looking pretty awesome, for a little while at least. Wow, I just don't know what I was thinking. 

 I finally learned how to edit "clean". Ahhhh...so much better! Much more natural looking.

I soon discovered film, purchased a professional film camera, and feel instantly in love! 

I had no idea just how expensive it is to shoot film. And when your hubby is about to attend law school, there isn't room in the budget to buy and develop professional film. I am currently in the process of trying to edit my images so that they resemble the look of film.

It's been a long journey. But I love to look back and see how far I have come. I also love knowing I have so much more to learn. I know my style will continue to evolve, and will probably be a never ending process. And I love that!

P.S. You may have noticed I added the "prices" tab back at the top of my blog. I am hoping to start doing shoots twice a month starting the end of this summer!

I got to take senior pictures of my sister-in-law last Saturday. We had so much fun! She is beautiful inside and out. I can't believe she is graduating and she will be turning in her mission papers soon. We are really going to miss her...but are so proud of her! She has been such an amazing example to me. Love ya Kenz!

I love it when family asks me to take their pictures! Sharee is such a beautiful girl, she made it easy!

I just recently did two senior shoots. Sharee got to be my first senior shoot ever. I was really kind of nervous since you really have to pose seniors, and I really like to shoot more candid, lifestyle shots. However, I ended up really enjoying myself. I think I could shoot seniors all day long.

Sometimes, I get home from a shoot and I become extremely frustrated because I have some pictures that are ruined due to my focusing being off. 

Call me crazy, because sometimes I love it when my focusing is off.

And sometimes I love it when my pictures aren't in focus at all.

Sometimes I wonder if an out of focus picture is even good enough to share. Finally I realize...I don't care!
