slacker

I am a slacker with my blog. Yikes! We have a lot going on right now. We are moving next month. I am trying to pack and organize the house, while trying to keep it clean all at the same time because we have to show our apartment. Plus, I am trying to get ready for our baby...which I am slacking at. Did I mention I am big and fat and I can barely move? It's been an adventure!

I am also slacking at my project life. No surprise there. I hope to get caught up soon.

Anyway, on to the pictures! My brother-in-law and his fiance are getting married in June and I'm so, so excited for them! I was super excited when they asked me if I could take their engagements. Here are some of my favorites...

A few random projects I've been working on:

My mom asked me if I could design a logo for their girl's camp shirts. I love the way it came out. The words will be white printed on a colored shirt. I can't wait to see the final result! It say's "I will stand" in case you couldn't figure it out.

I saw this quote on pinterest and a lady had written it up on her big chalkboard wall. I loved it, and I love chalkboard walls. But I have to admit, I have a little chalkboard board thingy that I never use. I honestly can't write on chalkboards for the life of me. So I decided to make it printable. I'm going to go and blow this puppy up and make a frame for it. That way I can change my chalkboard art in and out without touching chalk. I'll post photos when it's done!

P.S. I'm sorry if what I write makes zero sense and I have a million spelling and grammar errors. I'm dealing with a serious case of pregnancy brain.

newborn pictures part 2

When Diana asked me if I would be able to do a newborn shoot for her baby I was totally honest with her. I told her if she was looking for really posed pictures with adorable set ups, I'm not really the girl for the job. But, if she was looking for more lifestyle newborn pictures, I would love to do them. Lucky for me, she wanted a lifestyle shoot! 

Newborn shoots can easily take 3 hours, and I usually feel totally out of my element. The lifestyle newborn shoot is much, much quicker and it felt like a good fit for me. We literally had a white sheet on the bed in a bedroom with a nice window. So simple, yet I love them so, so much!

As promised, here are the digital pictures from the newborn shoot I did last week.

My Grandma knows I like to shoot film and she had a bunch of old film that she had never used. She offered it to me and of course I was ecstatic! The film is pretty expired and it's not professional grade, but that didn't stop me from using it. I decided to take a roll with me to my newborn shoot. I warned Diana, the mommy, they might not turn out. Sure they aren't perfect, but they are perfectly imperfect, and I think that's what I like most about them. 

No worries, I did shoot lots of digital images and I will post those next!

Lately we are smitten with this warm weather, Carter's sunglasses, and dressing our little girl in oversized clothes! The jacket she is wearing is way too big for her, but I think she looks adorable in it and I'm not even sure why.
