Are so worth it! Being a mom isn't always the most glamorous job. And sometimes it's hard, like really hard. But it's oh so worth it. I don't know what I would do without these two. I'm so in.love.

How did I get so lucky? I love this little guy. He may be a terrible sleeper, and he may cry a lot, but he sure is the best! I can't imagine my life without him.

letters to my daughter

Dear sweet baby girl,

I can't believe how much you have grown up since your baby brother arrived. You weren't sure what to think of him at first, but now you can't stop smothering him in kisses. You have spent a lot of time with dad this past month as I take care of the baby. I'm jealous of him. I finally got to put you down for bed the other night. You patted your bed for me to come lay by you, so I did. We laid there and giggled and giggled. I love your giggle. We had a dance party the next morning. I couldn't help but smile as you tried to sing the words to the song. You are growing up so fast. It's really sad for me, but I love it all the same. Please always be my baby girl. Always come lay by me at night just so we can giggle. Turn on the music so we can dance and sing together. And never stop being you...because you are my favorite!

baby bumps

My sister and I always seem to be pregnant at the same time. Seriously. We were 5 days apart with the baby I lost. Towards the end of her first pregnancy I got pregnant with my little girl. And these little guys we had 4 days apart. No, it wasn't planned that way...just in case you were wondering.

My sister wanted a few baby bump pictures, so we just decided to do a few pictures together. I could never do a whole maternity shoot. I just feel like a whale and I have a really round face. It's not a pretty sight. I just wanted one nice picture of my baby belly since I pretty much have no pictures of me during this pregnancy. Side note: I love that I can sleep on my stomach again and I get to start working out a week from today. Hallelujah!

I ran across this blog kids were here and instantly feel in love! Seriously go check it out...it will not disappoint. I love the idea of documenting the story of childhood. 

There will come a day that I won't have toys all over my living room floor, in the bath tub, and on my bed. A day when I won't have spilled milk to clean up off the coffee table, and mac and cheese on my kitchen floor. There will be a day when I won't hear my little girl giggling and talking to her stuffed animals when she is supposed to be taking a nap. They grow up so fast, and soon my baby boy wont fit perfectly in my arms. I'm not ready for that day to come, it bring tears to my eyes just thinking about it. For now, I will document it. Because when that day comes, I want to remember it all.

I started this project at the very end of June, so I hope to have more pictures for July. I plan to post my "kids were here" pictures at the beginning of each month. Anyone want to join in??
